Kazakhstan 2009
Pastor Peter's father, Mikhail Kulakov Sr., after years of imprisonment and exile, started his work as a young pastor in Alma-Ata, the capital of Kazakhstan. It was there where the communist government continuously harassed him and his family and threatened them with new prison terms if he continued to share the gospel. Since that time, it was Pastor Peter's dream to go back to Kazakhstan, presently an independent country in central Asia, a predominantly Muslim territory with very limited religious freedom. That dream came true in September of 2009, when Pastor Peter was invited to come to Alma-Ata with a series of meetings. Hundreds of spiritually hungry people attended those meetings daily and received a great blessing from the word of God.
